This was a very complex project that consisted of many phases over a 15-year period and accommodated the district’s growth comfortably and affordably.  First, we added a Junior/Senior classroom science wing and gymnasium to an existing elementary school and a multipurpose library which served everyone in district.  Then, years later, we added a new High School and converted the old Junior/Senior School into a Junior High School and renovated the Elementary School.  We created a new preschool and elementary entrance, renovated the classrooms and gymnasium and built the new high school around the existing gym.  The project also included a bus maintenance facility, athletic fields and running track.

The most challenging issue of this project was maintaining their academic schedule during construction.  We carefully reorganized the school’s schedule and meticulously planned the phasing of the construction to run smoothly and efficiently…all while keeping school in session and the kids safe from construction.  This was no easy feat considering there was not a location for swing space.  It is a small site and was almost impossible to incorporate bus and parking due to its challenging shape and size, so we built retaining walls and plateau parking down the hill to make it as convenient as possible to accommodate these needs.
