Feinknopf Macioce Schappa Architects were selected by the Buckeye Valley School District to provide architectural services for a new high school and two new elementary schools. While the district was waiting for voters to pass their bond issue, we were asked to assess each school’s roof to ensure no additional worsening structural issues just in case they were unable to pass their bond issue. We provided architectural services to prepare construction documents; bidding services; and field inspection services for roof renovations and replacement at four of the District’s school buildings, to remove and replace the roof at the High School, to remove and replace the roof except over the gymnasium at West Elementary; to remove and replace the roof at North Elementary, and to remove and replace the gymnasium roof only at East Elementary.

We have worked with the Buckeye Valley Board of Education, and with superintendents John Schiller and Jamie Grube and Director of Administrative Services Mark Tingley, since 2006 on numerous projects involving all of the schools. We have assisted with assessments, repairs and re-roofing projects on all three elementary schools, with the programming and renovation of the high school, with planning studies for health and wellness facilities, and with concessions and athletic facilities for the football field, with infrastructure improvements, with numerous studies for renovating and adding to the elementary schools, and with ballot issues. We have worked with the staffs of all buildings and have a deep knowledge of the district and operations.
