Feinknopf Macioce Schappa Architects provided architectural services for the major renovation and addition to the Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium, which is central to the Ohio University Athens campus identity.  The project, which included an entry and administrative office addition, enhances the quality of spaces for the patrons, performers, technicians, stagehands and administrators who use the facility for a variety of entertainment and educational purposes. The circulation flow of the building was enhanced with the spectacular interior renovations and new entry lobby and support spaces. The incorporation of an elevator, ramps, accessible restrooms, and expanded lobby spaces at the orchestral and mezzanine levels gracefully afford patrons and staff the benefits of an ADA-compliant building. A new 4-stop hydraulic passenger elevator and a new theatrical stage lift were added, as well.

Original construction on this building began in 1927 and was completed in 1928. The auditorium seats 2,500 people with a large stage, and 12 dressing rooms.
